A man full grown, yet there is room for more and improvement. I am taller then most men out here, just by a smidgen though. My hair is like this barren land white but with hints of the sun's warmth in it long and shaggy I tend to keep it up to the best of my advantage.. My body is built from the work I've put in as a boy.
People say I am stubborn but I disagree. The cold climates I grew up in as a boy took a toll on me for I can find myself being cold to others. I tend to be a loner, but everyone out here is off in there own little world. We do what we must to survive. I consider myself kind, but i am also ruthless and will stop at nothing to get what I want... I will stand out, I refuse to be the shadow I once was. There will be a story of me in the days to come.
My House...There are no fancy ladies, No silly lords... no outstanding banners.
My house is free, like the people who live on this side. We are the freefolk who have no lords, no silly new gods. We follow the gods of old. Like it should be. We survive...
My Story... A child of spring I was, well as close as spring gets 'round this end. I was born to a woman my father had stolen away out of custom. Our people had strange ways, stealing sisters and daughters of men in other tribes but never their wives.
In the previous years before my birthing my father and mother, had a boy. My older brother Thal... Then in the spring about three years after my brother I was born. A month or so after my birth, my mother Aeri died before the snow fell. Then the old woman warned my father of what was coming for me. How I would die from the cold, that I would soon follow. My destiny sought a different path then the one foreseen. Though the winter sickness had befallen upon my small frame, I fought it hard though at that age and pushed through even though there was a time or two my father lay next to me thinking I would die.
After my third name day came to pass I was given a name, like many babes it was custom that naming a child before its second was a bad omen. I was named Niall. A name I was given for my appereance, how I reminded my father of the sky.
as a child, I grew in my brother's shadow. My Father seemed to like him a little more, and thinking back to it. I was a jealous boy, we were so close before I let it take an ugly side of me. he always did seem to do better. I enveyed how fast it took him to learn, for I learned at a slower pace.
As teenagers he was the first to marry when his nineteenth name day came he stole a daughter from another tribe and married her. She was different from the rest in that small group, something out of the storys our father told us. Thal and her seemed happy.
I wasn't as quick as my brother to start a family. I was in no rush. I enjoyed my time with women... Being tied down to none.
Though the bones will grown old soon, I am a man if twenty five name days seen. I hope to see more but with this war I fear I will not... I fight for purpose, I fight to survive...
